WHS Class of 1958
(60th?) Reunion Web Site
THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE IS TO
PROMOTE INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN OUR CLASSMATES. PLEASE
DON'T ABUSE THE PRIVILEGE THAT CLASSMATES HAVE GRANTED US BY USING THEIR
PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR OTHER PURPOSES. MANY WOULD NOT MIND, BUT A
FEW WOULD SURELY TAKE UMBRAGE SHOULD THIS BE DONE. THANKS
50th reunion was a blast, and the most
frequent parting comment was "Let's do it again soon!"
Waiting for the 60th was considered tooooo long; the 55th
appeared to be just right.

(Bennett) Adamakis has stepped forward and volunteered to chair the 55th
committee, which now consists of some members from the 50th
and a number of new members . I am still doing the web site - but would
not feel slighted if somebody else wishes to take on the task.
web site has not changed very much since the 50th.
I do know
that the committee is attempting to locate as many classmates as
possible. You can help by looking over the various lists to check if
your information is up to date; if not, send an email by clicking on the
"contact us" button at the upper left side of the page.
you are at it, you might scan the lists to see if the information
for your close friends is up to date too. Email addresses change a
lot over time, and are very necessary for the committee members to
complete their tasks at virtually no cost. Please send any corrections you
may notice to Diane using the email link on the left side of this page.
There is a new list on the web site that shows who has responded to the
recent letter and has purchased tickets. The list will be updated
frequently, so check every few days to see which of your friends
have responded and will be there to meet with you. Your early
response and inclusion on the list might also encourage some friends who
are "on the fence" to join us and make the reunion even more
reunion has come and gone.
About 75 individuals attended and had a great time.
The cocktail hour gave us an opportunity wander around the room meeting up
with old friends. After all, we had not seen each other for 5 years
and had a lot to talk about. The meal service was diverse and hot;
the music provided by Steve Rando during the meal was right on
target. He played, and we (at least some of us) sang along with many
old tunes from the 50's. Some of the music came from the play
"Seventeen" that we produced after graduation in the Summer of
1958. A special song was even devoted to Linda. Rich McElhiney
lead the sing along. It was a bit of touch and go there when he
found that the music sheets had disappeared; but the show went on in spite
of that. Maybe we can get some candid photos up in the near
future. I might even get the ones from the 50th
working again. Hope to see more of you for the 60th.
